Ever since I made this bread, my family can’t get enough of it. Infact, the joy on my little boy’s face each time he sees it coming out from the oven is so heartwarming. So here’s a quick guide on how to make yours
Ingredients:
- Flour 2cups
- Vegetable oil 5tbspn
- Yeast 1tablespoon
- Sugar 3tablespoon
- Salt ½teaspoon
- Milk ½cup
Overtime, I’ve come to realise one thing that makes our bread come out soft and delicious after baking is kneading our dough properly and allowing it to rest before baking, this will make the final product soft and really enjoyable
Method:
✔️In a clean bowl pour in the milk, instant yeast, sugar , salt and vegetable oil
✔️Add the wet ingredients into the flour
✔️Oil your bowl then place the dough in it and cover for 45mins to one hour to allow your dough double in size
✔️Combine well and knead the dough; you don’t want a sticky dough, if your dough comes out sticky go right ahead to add some flour before kneading
✔️Knead the dough some more, cut and mould into any shape of your choice and transfer to a baking pan
✔️Cover the dough in the baking pan and allow the dough rest for about one hour after which you can go right ahead to bake
✔️Set your oven at 170-180⁰c
✔️Bake for 20mins or untill the top turns slightly brown
✔️Brush some oil on the top of your bread for that extra shiny look
